This bird's ocean view is as good as it gets.

Ahhh, champagne and insalata de pulpo (octopus salad).
Despite my being not quite appropriately dressed (having come from the beach), the host seated me at the best table.

Two frigates share a rocky perch. To their left (but not in the photo), a pair of barking sea lions frolicked in the bay.
A most beautiful night....
Happy Valentine's Day! I started mine with 12 young sweethearts at Margarita Emilia Primary School, San José del Cabo.
This is Professor Bernardo's English class. They sang Ode to Joy for me in English and asked lots of questions.
Afterward, a delicious breakfast at Cabo Pancake. It's a great place—I recommend it! Francisco, the owner, agreed to a photo.
At the American Express office, they gave me directions to a massage place but didn't tell me it was a dirt road.
The place looked a little iffy, just like the road. But Señora Carmen's athletic massage is a hidden treasure!
After having the kinks worked out of my shoulders, I parked the car in town and headed for the art galleries.
The Corsica gallery boasted bronzes in the five-figure price range (dollars, not pesos).
As it's Valentine's Day, I lingered by this one: "Abrazo Monumental" by Jorge Marin. "Abrazo" means embrace.
Ida Victoria's gallery was recently gutted by a fire. The photo is taken from the former home of artist Don Pablo Martinez.
I noticed this mountain peak in the work of more than one artist. Locals call it Picacho.
After school, Bernardo rejoined me for a tour of Cactimundo Botanical Garden. It's amazing! (And prickly.)
